HelpTimecard for Mac

What Timecard sends

Your apps, websites, times, cards and AI usage stay in one file on your Mac. Timecard has no account and no server holding your activity. Here is everything that does leave your Mac, and why.

Find it inTimecard Settings › General › Share anonymous usage

Anonymous usage counts

Since 2.1.6, Timecard sends a few anonymous counts, like "a card was printed" or "the AI page was opened", to see which features get used and where setup goes wrong. They never include your apps, sites, times, AI usage or anything you type, and there's no ID for your Mac. Turn them off in Settings › General › Share anonymous usage.

Licence checks

Activating a key sends it to Polar, the store that sells Timecard, with your Mac's name so you can tell your Macs apart in your receipt. Later checks send the key and its activation ID.

Updates

Timecard checks for new versions and downloads them in the background from timecardmac.site.

Crash reports, only if you send them

If Timecard crashes, it offers to email the report next time it opens. You see the email before anything is sent, and nothing about your day is in it.

Ask for time

To understand a page, Timecard may read the site's public description from its homepage. Apple Intelligence then runs on your Mac; your reason never leaves it.
